Darren Knight acquired the business on 1st April 2016 when the founders Mark Middleton and Sheryl Holland retired. He spent the previous 12 years growing a successful accounting practice in the Warkworth/North Auckland region and is now enjoying new challenges at M&H.
Like Mark and Sheryl, Darren is passionate about property investment and has worked closely with and assisted to develop and sell many small to medium sized businesses.
Darren has also owned retail businesses and is therefore able to provide first-hand experience based knowledge of everything from pricing through to HR issues that all small business owners face.
He prides himself on effective communication and being able to assist clients with their businesses. Darren enjoys his family life, surfing, fishing, travelling, good food, and wine.
Rangika Joined M&H in 2003. She is a Chartered Accountant in New Zealand and Sri Lanka. She has over 17 years experience in SME Accounting and Taxation and completed her Postgraduates degree in Accountancy at Massey University in 2014.
Rangika has worked mostly in New Zealand and prior to joining M&H has worked at EY in Sri Lanka.
Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her family, classical music, movies and travel.
Chandima joined Middleton Holland in 2008. She has over 10 years’ experience as a professional accountant and worked as a Senior Auditor for Price Waterhouse Coopers in Sri Lanka before joining M & H.
She is a member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants and The Institute of Certified Management Accountants of Sri Lanka and holds a degree in Accountancy. She is also an accredited Xero Live consultant.
She enjoys getting to know people and loves to travel.
Udeshika joined M&H team in 2019. She started her seventeen years professional career with Deloitte Sri Lanka as an Accountant. Udeshika then spent 13 years growing with a subsidiary of a multinational logistics company, Toll Global Forwarding Sri Lanka as the Director of Finance. Prior to joining M&H, Udeshika worked as an Accountant for Thirty Seven South Limited.
Udeshika is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka and holds a degree in Business Administration. She also completed her MBA at the University of Otago recently. Udeshika is passionate about working for a visionary and growing business looks forward to reaching new heights.
Udeshika says, “I’m very excited to be part of a team that I have heard such great things about. I have a passion for the organisation and working with people. I look forward to bringing my skills to the team.”
In her free time, Udeshika loves to travel, explore new countries and enjoys spending time in our outdoor natural environment.
Sara joined the M & H team in 2017.
Prior to joining M & H, Sara worked in the accounts department for Pita Pit’s head office.
She has a Bachelor of Accountancy and her CA qualification.
In her spare time, she loves hanging out with her husband, having a cheeky glass of wine and taking her dogs for walks.
Lisa joined the M&H team in 2017 and comes to us with years of book keeping experience.
She has a Bachelor of Accountancy, and enjoys helping clients navigate their tax liabilities in a down to earth approachable manner.
She lives on a lifestyle block with her husband and children, and enjoys hanging out with friends and relaxing on the weekends.
Caroline joined Middleton Holland in February 2023 as Receptionist and brings with her many years of office administration experience.
Outside of work, Caroline enjoys travelling, going on interesting walks and spending time with her family and friends.
Ben started HomeBoost Mortgages in 2016 with a clear objective of providing customised advice that delivers the best solution available for clients to achieve their financial goals.
Residential lending is Ben’s primary focus where he has many clients who are self-employed or their own business and understands the many bank policies and where to go to optimise his clients lending opportunities.
