Bookkeeping covers the day-to-day recording of financial transactions, invoices, payments, bank reconciliations, and keeping records in order. Accounting takes that information and uses it to prepare financial statements, calculate tax obligations, and help you make sound business decisions. We can assist with both.
Do I need an accountant if I use Xero or MYOB?
Accounting software is a useful tool for keeping records organised, but it does not replace the judgement and advice a qualified accountant provides. We work alongside Xero and MYOB to make sure your data is accurate, your tax obligations are being met, and you are not missing opportunities to structure things more effectively.
How often should I meet with my accountant?
For most small businesses, an annual review covers the compliance requirements. However, if you are going through a period of growth, considering a structural change, or facing a specific tax issue, more regular contact makes sense. We tailor the level of involvement to what is actually useful for your business.
Can you take over from my current accountant?
Yes. Switching accountants is straightforward and we handle the changeover process. We will request the relevant records from your previous accountant and get everything set up from our end. There is no disruption to your business.
